Authenticity refers to the truthfulness of origins, attributions, commitments, sincerity, devotion, and intentions. (definition compliments of Wikipedia). One must be authentic in your communications with the public, whether in the “real” world or the virtual one. When combined with transparency, authenticity becomes more powerful and productive than one can begin to imagine. Whether writing your blog entries, twittering or facebook entries, check to make sure your voice is authentic and transparent.
