As an early adopter of nearly every social media tool, we found ourselves tweeting, reading tweets, facebooking for hours and losing track of our common business goals in an ever-widening virtual world. We began to think we would need an exorcist to disentangle this world.
We found our own exorcism by working to master social media, not just as a concept, but as a productive addition to the world of marketing. One would not go spend hundreds, or thousands, of dollars on marketing without a plan. Yet business owners go willy-nilly into social media and think it is free. There is no free lunch!
